Discover one of the oldest and most historic cities in Portugal! Bracara Augusta has its roots in the Roman Empire, and it is still possible to feel this cultural and historical connection with its ancestors today. The 3rd largest city in the country has been established since the 1st century BC. as an important driving force in the region by the hand of Emperor Augustus, through the construction of various civil structures to support citizens, as well as the important and well-preserved link to the Spanish city of Astorga.
On this visit we focus on the historical legacy related to the importance of the city in the ancient empire. We will see up close the ruins of the city, spas, fountain, and we will have a museological perspective on the construction of Braga, passing through the medieval period and reconstruction, until the contemporary era that seeks to immortalize the foundations and finds of this city with more than 2000 years and greatness!
