Discover the cradle of our independency! Guimarães is a small town in the northern region that preserves the medieval style and structure. In this visit, you will understand the history and roots of our people,
Here was in the 12th century the capital and foundation of Portugal. Since then, the city has kept its structure, including the castle and fortified wall intact until the 18th century. Today, countless pieces that tell the history of Portugal are still very present and visible to everyone.
Our visit includes guided tours of the most iconic monuments in the country, but also true treasures that few residents know about!
The final part of the visit will take us (by cable car) to the highest point in about 40km, from where you will have an wonderful contact with the green/natural area with a fantastic view over the city of Guimarães.
