If you visit Guimarães, you will certainly notice the high mountain adjacent to the city and visible from all points of the medieval city. This is in fact the highest point at about 40km, and from where we can observe the limits of the entire city, the neighboring municipality of Braga, and even the Atlantic Ocean line.
Our proposal is a guided tour to the most special corners of the mountain. After going up about 12 km in a van, we will reach the top and be dazzled by the magnificent views from two different points. We will learn about the history of the intervention and requalification of the whole area in the 20th century, and also understand the inherent religiosity, displayed by the pilgrimage Sanctuary of Penha.
Then we will take a break to taste the region's nectar accompanied by the typical "Bolinho de Bacalhau". Here you will know one of the oldest and most typical tavern in the region!
The return to the center will be done on a different route with two more observation points, where without a doubt you will take the best photos of the visit!
